My Biography

Keith D. Proffitt, A.K.A. Rem Steele, is not only an outstanding writer and performer, he is also a veteran of the music industry.

He has spent years perfecting his craft, and is a seasoned performer having toured extensively along the gulf coast as well as throughout the south.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, Keith has also been involved in the direction and development of many young artists in his community by being a mentor, and offering support to those artists in the areas of writing, performing and producing. He composes the beats and writes the lyrics for many of these artists.

Keith (A.K.A Rem Steele), and his company, Beatz Forever Entertainment, recently entered into a co-venture with Adobe Road Records, an independent record label based in Nashville, Tennessee.

It is the objective of both companies to be involved in providing high quality music to the public, and at the same time provide a positive message to anyone who hears that music, which has always been Rem Steele's mission.

The first result of this new partnership is a song Rem Steele composed as a tribute to Presidential Candidate, Barack Obama.
More than a political statement, the song is an affirmation of the significance of an American running for the nation's highest office.The song, "Young Barack", is available to download nationwide on shop.adoberoadrecords.com.

By purchasing the song, you are electing to donate 25 cents to the Barack Obama campaign fund. Beatz Forever Entertainment in conjunction with Adobe Road Records LLC, upon discussion with Barack Obama's Campaign fund raising staff, will make the appropriate donation.

As Rem says in the song, "you think your vote don't count, but they're countin' every vote".
